Each Off-site activity has been designed as much to inspire and educate as to challenge and entertain. These activities work in harmony with the inclusive scheduled activities available and take further advantage of our onsite expert Field Guides, tutors and instructors.
The region surrounding the resort presents a variety of fresh water fishing opportunities and an expert fishing guide will be on hand to help you develop your technique and try for an Australian bass or trout.
Guests will be collected at the Homestead and transported in a luxury four-wheel drive to one of the local streams or other well-known fishing areas, all of which are located within an hour’s drive of the resort. Heli-fishing expeditions can also be arranged for those wishing to venture further afield, while a gourmet picnic lunch will accompany guests on the trip.
Stream fishing season extends from October until the end of May, however there is year-round fishing available on private dams. Bookings need to be made in advance and departures are subject to weather conditions.
For those keen to have a round of golf during their stay, there are a number of courses located within an hour and forty-five minutes’ drive of the resort. Guests can opt for nine or 18 holes and can either choose a mountain course or one to the west of the Blue Mountains. Lunch is included in the trip and transfers can be arranged if required.

An experienced photographic guide is on hand to guide guests through the many stunning locations on the property. The itinerary will comprise being collected from the Homestead and transferred to a location onsite where a Field Guide will demonstrate how best to capture the landscape’s colours, contours and wildlife.
Tours depart either early morning or late afternoon, depending on seasonal conditions. Bookings can be made through the Guest Services Agent and it is best to book prior to arriving at the resort to ensure availability.
For those looking to spend more time exploring the National Parks, Aboriginal rock art and unique flora and fauna in the surrounding countryside, a selection of half-day and full-day four-wheel drive tours are available.
The Field Guide or Guest Services Agent can design an itinerary to suit all interests. The full-day tour will include a gourmet picnic lunch.

There is a wealth of land to explore on the resort and in the immediate vicinity as well as further afield. In order to introduce guests to the diversity of nature in the region, Field Guides are available to lead walking and hiking tours of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. Some of the hidden treasures waiting to be discovered include a glow worm tunnel, a relic of the industrial age which has since been reclaimed by nature.
The views from on top of the escarpment, beyond the canyon, are nothing short of spectacular. On the way, guests will be introduced to the rich variety of flora in the area, including grassy plains and small pockets of temperate rainforest. A picnic style morning tea is inclusive and carried by the Field Guide.
All walks depart in the morning during summer and vary in length and duration. Bookings can be made through the Field Guide.

A qualified shooting coach will transfer guests from the Homestead to a secluded part of the property, where the shooting range is located. Guests will be treated to a range shoot using both shotgun and compound bow. No experience is necessary and all safety equipment is provided. All the ammunition used is non lead based and biodegradable in keeping with our conservation principles.

The Blue Mountains region has a strong adventure activity culture. Some of the more popular activities include canyoning which involves descending into canyons suspended by ropes and a harness, abseiling, and rock climbing. With the highest concentration of spectacular slot canyons in Australia an excellent quality rock it is hardly surprising.
These activities are conducted by experienced and qualified outdoor adventure guides and are available throughout the year depending on weather conditions. Adventure activities can be arranged through a Guest Services Agent. Booking ahead is essential to ensure availability.
